Trump says he is immune to coronavirus
NEW DELHI: US President Donald Trump, in an interview to Fox News, has claimed that he is now immune from the coronavirus.
"It seems like I'm immune, so I can go way out of a basement, which I would have done anyway," Trump said.
He said, “I beat this crazy horrible China virus. I passed the highest test, the highest standards, and I'm in great shape. And I have to tell you I feel fantastically. I really feel good.”
White House physician Sean Conley said that the president, who tested positive for Covid-19 on October 1 and was later hospitalized for three days before returning to the White House with continued treatment, is "no longer considered a transmission risk to others."
Trump further said that the White House doctors are the best. They said totally free of spreading, there's no spread.
“It should have never happened, it's China's fault,” Trump said, adding that there were some predictions that more than 2 million people could die and the US death count is now above 200,000. "There are those that say we did a phenomenal job."
Before and after Trump's infection, a number of White House staff members have also tested positive for the virus.
