NEW DELHI: State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has partnered with Amazon to provide free one-year Amazon Prime membership subscription with its annual broadband plans starting at Rs 399.
The new offer to provide entertainment conetnt will be available to both, existing as well as new BSNL customers, the telco in a statment said.
BSNL said that the scheme is a step forward in providing BSNL customers the best in online entertainment and shopping that includes Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Reading and unlimited free fast shipping on millions of items along with early and exclusive access to deals on Amazon.in.
In addition to the Prime membership, BSNL will offer 15 percent cash back on broadband plans up to Rs. 499, 20 percent cash back on plans between Rs. 499 and Rs. 900, and 25 percent cash back on broadband plans of Rs. 900 and above. The telco is also offering 15 percent cash back on annual landline plans.
BSNL has been offering cost-effective and attractive tariff plans to its consumers and has been able to hold subscribers onto its network despite the fierce competition that has also led to market consolidation after the disruptive foray of Reliance Jio in 2016.
With the new offering, BSNL customers can enjoy unlimited streaming anytime, anywhere of premium movies and TV shows on Prime Video including the latest and exclusive blockbuster Hollywood, Bollywood and Indian regional movies and top TV shows.
Earlier, the fourth-largest telecom operator was offering Amazon Prime access to customers opting for its broadband plans of Rs 745 and above and also offers a year of Amazon Prime membership together with BharatFiber plans.
