TCIL pays dividend of Rs. 33.72 Crore for FY24 to government
NEW DELHI: Sanjeev Kumar, CMD, Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL) presented a dividend cheque of Rs. 33.72 Crore to Jyotiraditya Scindia Hon’ble Minister of Communications. Dr Neeraj Mittal, Hon’ble Secy, DoT graced the occasion.
TCIL was established in August, 1978 and is under the administrative control of the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. The Government holds 100% equity in the Company. In 2023-24, TCIL achieved a operating revenue of Rs 2,557.94 Crore exceeding the DPE target of Rs 2,251 Crore. In the last 4 years, revenue of TCIL has grown by 47% (from Rs. 1,766 Crore in FY 2020-21 to Rs. 2,603 Crore in FY 2023-24) and operating margin by 71% during corresponding period.
TCIL is a profit making Miniratna PSU and have paid a cumulative dividend of Rs. 4,055.69 Crore to the Government, including Rs. 3,727.78 Crore from stake sale in Bharti Hexacom Limited in FY 2024-25.
TCIL is one of the most diversified PSU executing Projects in the field of Telecommunications & Information Technology in India and abroad. TCIL has executed projects in over 70 countries across the globe. Its overseas operations are currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Mauritius & Nepal apart from the ongoing prestigious Pan Africa e-Vidya Bharti & Arogya Bharti Network project operating in more than 15 African countries.
The Company is also executing prestigious high value Govt. of India projects of Defence NFS project, Navy OFC Projects, USOF funded APSFL & Telengana Fiber Projects, BBNL VSAT, Eklavya School, BSNL Super Edge, Teaching Learning Material for Bihar Education Council, Up-gradation of Risk Mitigation Project for MSEDCL and Data Centre for the Indian Coast Guard.
