Israeli forces kill 35 in Gaza, escalate attacks in south Lebanon

BEIRUT: Israel’s forces pounded southern Lebanon, in a bid to escalate further war and killed as many as 35 individuals in Gaza, according to local reports.

During the day, 35 Palestinians were killed and 94 were injured, Gaza’s Health Ministry officials Sunday said.

Since the time of launching incursion into southern Lebanon starting October 1, Israeli forces have struck the area multiple times, causing civilian casualties.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces issued new evacuation orders for Gaza City’s Shujayea, prompting hundreds of Palestinians to flee from the area.

On Sunday, Israeli forces shelled the southern Lebanese towns of Khiam, Zebqin, and Naqoura, while air attacks hit al-Mansouri and al-Bayada in the Tyre district. Nearly eight people were killed in these attacks, including two fishermen struck by an Israeli drone. Rescue teams recovered body parts from the rubble of a building in Tyre, and three other people were injured.

Israel’s continued genocide in Gaza has killed at least 44,211 Palestinians and wounded 104,567 since October 7, 2023, according to the latest data.

In Lebanon, at least 3,670 people have been killed and 15,413 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
