NEW DELHI: Everest IMS Technologies, an Indian software product company is optimistic about growth opportunities, and aims to expand beyond the country. In an interaction with PageOne, Satish Kumar V, chief executive of EverestIMS Technologies talks on product portfolio, impact of Covid-19 pandemic, and business expansion plans. Edited excerpts.

What are your core offerings or services that drive your business?

We specialize in providing integrated AI driven IT products and solutions to empower organizations to deliver enhanced services to their end-users while addressing core business needs. We currently offer a host of products and solutions that target Large Enterprises, Telecoms, Government, BFSI, SMBs, E Commerce and a host of others.

Telecoms and service providers can optimize infrastructure, automate operations and monetise services easily with this solution.

At EverestIMS we help our clients become agile, effective and efficient by basing our delivery framework around what we call the “Digital Transformation Triad” namely, Customer Experience Transformation, Operational Process Transformation and the Business Model Transformation, which we use to rapidly change business paradigms in India and across the world. In fact, we consider Digital Transformation to be “deep business transformation”.

How do you see the market situation during the current Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown?

For us, there has been a significant uptick in demand and usage of our products. Remote workers who need to ensure that their enterprises’ IT infrastructure is up and running at full peak see us as saviors. Service providers who need their efficacy to be at par all the time have turned to us time and again. Enterprises that need to perform rapid upgrades with minimal onsite personnel due to increased workload are all turning to the Infraon Suite to help them stay competitive and effective. However, many firms have been hit badly and are facing inclement times – this is a reality that we will have to live with for some time to come. The market situation will definitely see a dip, till economic activities get up to speed and economies start seeing a recovery. We see a realignment of businesses as they rearrange their operations and structures to continue doing business in a post-Covid-19 era.

Do you think the ICT sector has played a stellar role during the current crisis? How should organisations (enterprise sector) adopt new technology/cloud-driven strategies to cut costs and stay closes to their customers?

In fact, without the ICT sector, economies and businesses would have got destroyed. To explain - what COVID did was to completely disengage people from group collectives – at work, shopping, prayer, and any place where congregation took place. This was the very antitheses of how socialization and business were done – the fragmentation of this process could have completely devastated companies. It is here that ICT was the savior. Across industries (IT and related services), teams simulated workspaces, defined processes, and ensured that the show went on. It was quite amazing to see how some of the largest IT companies in the world nimbly reconfigured work practices, responsibilities, and silos to ensure that work went on uninterrupted. And the backbone literally was the ICT industry – they ensured that people were connected, VPNs were secured, files were transferred, voice and video calls were on-track and anything that an enterprise needed for remote and WFH was in place and consistently working with minimal disruption.

Organizations need to rapidly transform their processes and practices to incorporate deep technology-driven change within their organizational design. They need to use the latest products and solutions to help craft virtual teams, new communication practices along with inter and intra team process rejig to drive efficiencies. They will have to make significant investments now in specific technology and/or cloud-driven products which will bear rich dividends in the future. If they are going to hold on to outgrown processes, they will find themselves much like the dinosaurs. It is transformed or perishes.
