NEW DELHI: India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. (IYM) has announced the proposed integration of Yamaha Motor Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (YEIN) into IYM, as part of its strategic restructuring initiative announced earlier this year.

The integration is aimed at streamlining operations, enhancing cross-functional collaboration and creating a more agile organisational structure to support sustainable growth.

With the mobility sector undergoing rapid transformation driven by sustainability and technological advancements, Yamaha said integrated product development and manufacturing capabilities are becoming increasingly important. The proposed integration is expected to strengthen Yamaha’s premium product portfolio and support the development of next-generation and electrified mobility solutions.

Hajime Aota, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said the integration marks an important step towards building an agile and future-ready organisation aligned with Yamaha Motor’s global technology vision.

“By bringing electrical and electronic component expertise directly into our core development and manufacturing ecosystem, we will accelerate innovation in energy management,” Aota said, adding that the move would enhance Yamaha’s responsiveness to changing market demands and strengthen the foundation for long-term growth in India.

The restructuring is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2027, subject to the necessary regulatory and stakeholder approvals.

Yamaha said business operations will continue without disruption during the integration process, with no impact expected on customers, business partners or employees.

Following the integration, YEIN’s electrical component expertise will continue to support IYM’s product development and manufacturing priorities. The unified organisation is also expected to create greater opportunities for talent development, knowledge sharing and innovation, strengthening Yamaha’s competitiveness in India.
