Tech Mahindra opens communications experience center in Pune to drive AI-led innovation for telecom

NEW DELHI: Tech Mahindra has announced the launch of its Communications Experience Center (CEC) in Pune, aimed at enabling AI-led innovation for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) navigating complex and low-margin business environments.

AI-driven transformation hub for telecom

The newly launched center will serve as a nerve centre for co-creation, allowing telecom operators to reimagine operations, customer experience, and business models using artificial intelligence, cloud, and automation technologies.

Built on Pune’s legacy as Tech Mahindra’s global communications hub, the CEC will be supported by satellite innovation centres worldwide, aligned under a unified communications framework.

Focus on next-gen telecom models

The initiative is guided by the company’s telecom strategy—Grow, Empower, and Transform—with a focus on:

  • AI-native and cloud-first transformation
  • API-led ecosystems and B2B2X models
  • Autonomous and agentic network operations
  • New growth platforms for telecom providers

Leadership perspective

Amol Phadke, Chief Transformation Officer at Tech Mahindra, said the telecom industry is at a critical inflection point, requiring innovation to balance complexity with sustainable growth.

He added that the Pune centre will help CSPs move from experimentation to real-world deployment, reinforcing Tech Mahindra’s positioning as a transformation partner in the emerging agentic AI era.

Immersive innovation and co-creation

The CEC features:

  • Interactive demos and telecom-specific AI use cases
  • Collaborative spaces for CXO-level engagement
  • Showcases of autonomous networks and digital enterprise models
  • Partner-led innovation zones for ecosystem collaboration

These capabilities are designed to accelerate decision-making and solution deployment for telecom operators globally.

Strategic significance

With deep expertise in the communications sector, Tech Mahindra continues to strengthen its role as a global digital transformation partner. The new center is expected to support telecom companies in driving scalable growth, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experiences.
