boltt announces 3+4 software commitment for Evo and Ace smartphones
NEW DELHI: Smartphone brand boltt has announced its new 3+4 Software Commitment, promising extended software and security support for its Evo and Ace smartphone models.
Under the programme, both devices will receive three major Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates, with security patches delivered at least once every quarter. The company said critical security updates will also be released as required, outside the regular quarterly cycle, to address important vulnerabilities.
The commitment establishes a defined software support roadmap, including three major Android upgrades, four years of security updates, a minimum quarterly update schedule and additional patches whenever necessary. The support timeline will be calculated from the official product launch date.
According to boltt, the initiative reflects the growing importance of software longevity and security in determining the overall value of a smartphone. The company said its focus extends beyond hardware specifications at the time of purchase to ensuring devices remain secure, supported and relevant over a longer ownership period.

He added that the 3+4 commitment is aimed at giving users greater confidence through three major Android upgrades, four years of security support and regular security updates throughout the device lifecycle.
