Glance and Samsung launch AI-powered shopping experience on millions of U.S. smart TVs
NEW DELHI: Glance, a global consumer technology company specializing in AI-led agentic commerce, has partnered with Samsung to launch what it describes as the first large-scale agentic commerce experience on millions of Samsung smart televisions across the United States.
Built on Glance’s proprietary artificial intelligence platform and integrated natively into Samsung’s Tizen operating system, the new offering transforms television screens into interactive shopping destinations, enabling consumers to discover and purchase products directly from their TVs.
The platform allows users to create personalized shopping feeds and virtual wardrobes while exploring fashion, accessories and lifestyle products through voice commands and remote controls, eliminating the need for smartphones or secondary devices during the shopping journey.
Samsung said the collaboration aligns with its vision of making televisions more than entertainment devices by delivering personalized and intelligent experiences directly on the home’s largest screen.
“Samsung has always believed the television is more than just an entertainment device – it’s the centerpiece of the home,” said Maya Harris, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Samsung. “Glance's agentic shopping experience brings that belief to life, meeting consumers in moments of inspiration with personalization and intelligence that only this screen can deliver.”
The service is now available on all Samsung smart TV models launched from 2020 onwards in the United States and can be accessed through the “For You” and “Apps” sections of Samsung TVs.
Glance said the partnership provides access to a vast consumer audience and creates a new performance-driven commerce channel for brands and advertisers, allowing them to engage customers before they turn to web browsers or mobile devices.
Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO of InMobi and Glance, said the launch marks a significant step in the evolution of intelligent shopping experiences.
“The TV has always been the largest screen in the home – the place where culture, content and aspiration converge. With Samsung, intelligent shopping is no longer a future vision; it is now live at scale on millions of screens,” he said.
Glance added that its AI-powered platform aims to bridge the gap between product discovery and purchase by offering personalized recommendations and contextual shopping experiences, helping consumers make more informed buying decisions while simplifying the path to checkout.
