AI edtech dialogue urges reimagining of education for the AI era
NEW DELHI: An AI Edtech Dialogue hosted jointly by Reliance Foundation and Central Square Foundation has emphasized the urgent need to reimagine India’s education system to keep pace with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence.
The dialogue brought together policymakers, education leaders, technologists, and industry experts to discuss how AI can be responsibly and effectively integrated into teaching, learning, and assessment frameworks. Participants highlighted that traditional education models must evolve to equip students with critical thinking, creativity, and digital skills essential for the AI-driven future.
Speakers underscored the importance of leveraging AI to personalize learning, support teachers, and improve education outcomes at scale, while also addressing concerns related to equity, data privacy, and ethical use of technology. The discussion stressed that AI should act as an enabler, augmenting human potential rather than replacing educators.
The dialogue concluded with a consensus on the need for coordinated action among government, academia, industry, and civil society to develop inclusive, future-ready education policies. Participants called for timely reforms to ensure that learners are prepared for emerging opportunities and challenges in the AI era.
