SheConnects launches digital inclusion accelerator for women in India, Africa
NEW DELHI: The SheConnects Digital Accelerator has been launched to strengthen women’s digital inclusion and expand access to technology, digital skills, and economic opportunities across India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs, professionals, and underserved communities by supporting digital literacy, access to online platforms, financial inclusion, and participation in the digital economy. The programme is expected to focus on bridging the gender digital divide through training, mentorship, innovation support, and technology-driven capacity building.
Organisers said the accelerator will work with ecosystem partners, startups, policymakers, and community organisations to create inclusive digital opportunities for women and help drive sustainable economic growth.
The initiative comes amid growing global efforts to improve women’s participation in technology and ensure equitable access to digital tools, internet connectivity, and entrepreneurship resources in emerging markets.
The SheConnects Digital Accelerator is also expected to support women-led enterprises and promote innovation through collaborative programmes and regional partnerships across India and African nations.
