Tech Mahindra and ServiceNow expand partnership to scale enterprise AI

NEW DELHI: Tech Mahindra and ServiceNow have announced an expanded multi-year partnership aimed at helping global enterprises move from artificial intelligence (AI) experimentation and pilot projects to production-ready AI deployments at scale.

The partnership combines Tech Mahindra's industry, engineering and digital transformation expertise with the ServiceNow AI Platform. The companies said the expanded collaboration will focus on enterprise-wide automation, responsible AI adoption and measurable business outcomes across industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, banking, financial services and insurance, media and technology.

Focus on faster AI adoption

Under the expanded partnership, Tech Mahindra and ServiceNow will work with customers to develop transformation roadmaps, strengthen platform adoption, establish governance frameworks and measure the business impact of AI initiatives.

A key element of the collaboration will be the “Client Zero” approach, under which Tech Mahindra and the Mahindra & Mahindra Group will serve as large-scale validation environments for ServiceNow solutions. The companies said successful AI and automation models can then be refined and replicated for other enterprise customers.

Tech Mahindra has already deployed ServiceNow across its global IT operations and handles more than 100,000 cases every month across 90 countries, according to the company.

Industry-specific AI solutions

The partnership will focus on developing industry-specific solutions using the ServiceNow AI Platform. These solutions are intended to help enterprises accelerate digital transformation, strengthen governance and optimise operational costs.

Tech Mahindra will also significantly expand its global ServiceNow practice and establish a dedicated AI & Innovation Center of Excellence within the practice. The centre will focus on accelerating the deployment of AI capabilities, including the ServiceNow AI Control Tower and ServiceNow EmployeeWorks.

The companies aim to help businesses move away from fragmented AI pilots towards integrated, outcome-focused AI programmes that are embedded into existing enterprise workflows and operating models.

Focus on measurable business outcomes

ServiceNow Chairman and CEO Bill McDermott said the expanded partnership will combine ServiceNow's AI capabilities with Tech Mahindra's industry expertise to help enterprises deploy AI at scale.

According to ServiceNow, Tech Mahindra's existing implementation has delivered measurable benefits, including cost savings, improved employee experiences for around 150,000 employees and an approximately 25% improvement in first-level IT support.

Tech Mahindra CEO and Managing Director Mohit Joshi said enterprises are entering a new phase of AI adoption in which the focus is shifting from experimentation to trusted and scalable execution. He said the partnership is designed to help organisations embed AI into their systems, workflows and governance frameworks while improving productivity and generating measurable business value.

The expanded collaboration reflects the growing focus among enterprises on moving beyond AI pilots and integrating artificial intelligence into everyday business operations at scale.
