Fabletics opens first India store at DLF Promenade in New Delhi
NEW DELHI: Global activewear brand Fabletics has entered the Indian retail market with the opening of its first store at DLF Promenade, New Delhi, in an exclusive partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL). The launch marks the brand’s formal retail debut in India and introduces its technology-led approach to activewear shopping.
Located at one of Delhi-NCR’s prominent fashion and lifestyle destinations, the new Fabletics store is aimed at India’s growing community of fitness-conscious and fashion-forward consumers. The brand is positioning its India offering around activewear that combines performance, comfort and contemporary design for use across workouts, training and everyday activities.
A key feature of the new store is its RFID-enabled fitting-room experience. When shoppers enter a trial room with selected products, an in-room tablet automatically identifies the items and displays them on the screen. Customers can then view alternative sizes and styles available in the store and request them directly from the fitting room, creating a more personalised shopping experience.
The India launch also featured a range of customer engagement activities. More than 100 people queued for the opening, while visitors participated in a balance-board challenge and an in-store claw-machine activity. The DLF Promenade atrium also hosted a movement-focused pop-up and a pedal-powered smoothie station, where visitors could cycle to blend their own complimentary smoothies.
Fabletics’ India collection includes apparel and accessories for both women and men. The range covers leggings, pants, joggers, shorts, sports bras, tank tops, tops, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, vests, bags and hats. The collection is designed to combine functional performance with everyday styling, allowing consumers to transition between fitness activities and casual settings.
Commenting on the launch, Sumeet Yadav, Head, Reliance Brands Limited, said the Indian activewear market is increasingly looking for products that combine performance and style. He said Fabletics’ focus on design, technology and accessibility, along with its experience-led store format, would support the brand’s expansion in the country.
Meera Bhatia, President, Fabletics, said the opening of the first India store represents a significant milestone for the brand. She added that the store brings together Fabletics’ product offering and technology-focused approach to create a retail experience centred on convenience and personalisation.
The Fabletics store at DLF Promenade is now open to consumers. The brand is also preparing to expand its physical presence in India, with its next store planned for Mumbai.
