India Mobile Congress 2026 launches ‘Viksit Tech 47’ platform to build global tech brands from India

NEW DELHI:  India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 has announced the launch of ‘Viksit Tech 47’, a new platform aimed at identifying, recognising and supporting Indian technology companies, leaders and enablers with the potential to expand their presence in global markets.

The initiative will be part of the 10th edition of India Mobile Congress, scheduled to take place from October 7 to 10 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. Technology analytics, research and consulting firm Techarc will serve as the research partner for the initiative.

Viksit Tech 47 has been conceived around India's Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and will focus on companies and individuals contributing to the country's technology ecosystem across areas including consumer devices, wearables and audio, video and surveillance, connected mobility, smart home and IoT, components and manufacturing, artificial intelligence and deep tech, and SaaS platforms.

The initiative will also result in a flagship report to be released during IMC 2026. According to the organisers, the report will examine more than 200 Indian technology companies and incorporate inputs from founders and industry experts to assess India's position in the global technology value chain.

Ramakrishna P., CEO, India Mobile Congress, said the initiative is intended to provide Indian technology companies with a platform to expand beyond the domestic market and build global recognition. He said Viksit Tech 47 would be developed as a long-term platform to support Indian technology companies in moving from domestic success to international markets.

The initiative will also feature the Dr. Zarabi Indigenisation Award for Startups, which will recognise startups working in areas such as design, engineering, components and manufacturing to develop hardware, gadgets, devices and appliances that have traditionally depended on imports.

The launch is aligned with the broader theme of IMC 2026, ‘Scale Without Boundaries’, which focuses on expanding the global reach of Indian technology and innovation. The 10th edition of IMC is expected to bring together more than 1.5 lakh attendees, 300 exhibitors and partners from over 100 countries, while showcasing more than 1,500 technology use cases.

India Mobile Congress is organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
